Ryan earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, which he attended after receiving a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. During law school, Ryan served as a Contributing Editor for the Journal of Consumer & Commercial Law, the official publication of the State Bar of Texas Consumer and Commercial Law Section.

He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and has represented clients on a pro hac vice basis in California, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York.
