Omar Khawaja
About
Omar Khawaja is originally from Houston, Texas, but moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. There he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Management and started his progression into law. Upon graduation, Omar began working as a congressional aide to a Member of Congress and attended law school at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. As a student, Omar transitioned into a position as a Law Clerk in the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission and worked in the Legal Department at the City of Houston.
Omar’s education and passion for law led him to return to Houston upon graduation to officially begin his legal career. His first role was as an Assistant District Attorney in both Midland County and later in Fort Bend County, Texas. In both counties, Omar successfully tried dozens of misdemeanor and felony cases from intake to jury verdict and vigorously prosecuted and defended the rights of victims of crime.
After his years working in public services, Omar began work at a well-known personal injury law firm, where he helped recover millions of dollars for injured clients and bereaved families. Omar’s years of experience and education allowed him to become an expert in his field, and in 2018 he used that expertise to create The Law Offices of Omar Khawaja, PLLC with the goal of helping more clients obtain “Justice without Compromise” at a higher level.
As the Founder of The Law Offices of Omar Khawaja, he continues to protect the rights of victims of negligent drivers and companies with the same vigor, zeal, and compassion he had as a prosecutor. Omar is licensed to practice in Texas and is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on the board of The South Asian Chamber of Commerce as well as the board of the Houston Karachi Sister City Association.
